Thame remembers the fallen

As the clock struck 11am on Sunday (8 November), the town (and all of the Commonwealth countries) fell silent for two minutes to remember all of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.

The image attached is the Thame Remembers progress cross and 213 individual crosses representing each Thame soldier who passed in conflict.

We will never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to secure and protect our freedom.
